Twitter users can now tweet in 280 characters. Researchers for the social media site believe this will bring better engagement to tweets and more activity to the channel, since most tweets were maxing out at 140 character. However, tweeting in Asian languages like Chinese, Japanese and Korean will still be limited to 140 characters. This is because most Asian users don’t use the full 140 characters so they most likely won’t be needing the 280 characters. All other limitations and allowances will remain in effect.
