Think you know who is watching videos on YouTube? Hint: It isn’t just millennials who love YouTube.

Google offers up a variety of stats from the number of 18+ adults watching in 2015 compared to 2016 doubling and time spent among the 55+ audience almost tripling, to the fastest “time spent” growing segment being 35+. YouTube viewers are more likely to have college degrees and kids. YouTube also reaches 95% of Internet active adults over the age of 55. And it may surprise you that 50% of viewers are female. All these stats dispels the myth that the average YouTube user is a young, single male.
